The practice of writing is as much the practice of listening to the current of silence, just as a poem is as much the space on the page as the words. In this retreat, award-winning author and lifetime meditator Amy Edelstein will guide us in an experiential exploration of the mystery of the creative process. We will practice periods of meditation and reflection to open to the wisps and intimations of our next passage. We will make space to listen freshly to the distant hum of creativity as it makes itself known. We will have periods of writing and times of sharing our work in an attentive and caring environment. This retreat is for you if you have been longing for time and space to write and connect with others who share your writer’s passion.

No prior meditation experience required; the sessions will be supportive for everyone on the retreat.  Bring meditation mats or bolsters if you feel called to.

Our Lady of Atonement Retreat House is a rustic, 106-year-old home at the base of a mountain with 29 Guest rooms.  There is a large porch, a small chapel, many parlors and seating areas, and an ample meeting space for lectures.
